Well the "train" (model and 12" to foot) related activities continues...
We made our way to meet Lionel Strang near the Toronto Railway Museum and we found Ralph Renzetti and Chris Lyon waiting for him too..
When Lionel arrived we were introduced to the top man from the museum and we were taken on a personal tour after taking part in some external activities.

We got to go through the back shop where we were introduced to the leader of each trade and they explained what they were doing – a great experience.

The results of the work undertaken speak for themselves - the attention to detail was amazing.
Our Home & Miniature Land
We were taken to Our Home & Miniature Land - we had no idea it existed. Well what work we were shown by the team of 10 professional model builders putting together "a dream" for a beneficiary who one day wants to open a model city like those in Germany & Moscow. What a unique experience – we were introduced to the staff and shown the public and back shop side their creation.
The video and photos speak for themselves.
Just two more things...
Lionel gets a free lunch
Between the two activities we had lunch at Costco. Now I think I hold the record for the person who traveled the furthest to participate in "Lionel gets a free lunch"...
Lionel, Ralph, Chris, Rossco & I went for dinner at Montana’s and we were told we had to try “Poutine”. It was hot chips with bacon or chorizo, curds & gravy which we forked from a bowl to a side plate. It was different but nice.
Interrogation by Lionel Strang
After we all had dinner together Ralph dropped us at a subway station and Lionel came for ride before disembarking after a couple of stations and I was interviewed on video by him and his selfie stick so here it is...
Thanks Lionel, Ralph and Chris for a very enjoyable day which we appreciated by the both of us.
Stay tuned for the next installment!
