April Update

        

A busy month despite being unwell for a week or so,  activities have included My 70th Birthday, My Ops Session, Ops Session at Wayne's, Job Card changes, Ops Planning for Sessions 4 & 5, Tasks Completed in last 30 days & Scheduled Tasks for next 90 days.

My 70th Birthday

I had a great week of celebrations with Family & Friends.  Two events Tuesday at Cradock and Friday evening at The Vines Golf Club/  Special thanks for those travelling long distances all the way from Hong Kong, Sale Victoria, Roxby Downs and Cradock for my party on the Friday evening.

Ops Session on 3rd

Barry, Chris, Hugh, John, Peter J, Peter S, Ross and Wayne joined me for the session.  The first half went well until some inattention caused a collision and major derailment at Helix Junction which totally distracted me, then I lost the thread and I made some errors on the control panel causing further problems.

We persisted for a while then the 2 1/2 hour elapsed time alarm sounded so we pulled the plug and enjoyed afternoon tea.

Peter R from Sale who was staying over for my birthday celebrations helped me complete the outstanding movements.

Thanks to those who took photos and sent them through.

Ops Session at Wayne's

I was a reserve operator for the session on 12 April and Don sent me a few photos from the session with the comment "was a good run, very busy.".

I was invited to the session on April 27, but I was unwell and could not attend.

Job Cards Update

Most of my operators like me are getting older and the printing on the Job Cards was getting too small for some to read so an update was required.  The old cards were 1/3 of A5 and the new 1/2 A5 with larger print.

Here is an example old & new (train numbers used for planning are deleted).

The existing sets for Sessions 1, 2 & 3 will be updated in due course.
